Does that make sense?
LOl what do you think physics is?

is ur car auto? if it is, do u activate the parking brake first, then put the shifter into park? if so, then depending on where u're parking the rear will come up a half inch or so.

example: lets say i park my car in my driveway, head-in. if the car goes into neutral/no brakes, it rolls backwards. if i put the shifter into reverse, but leave the parking brake on, the rear end goes up a little.

i highly doubt thats what you're talking about though.

its probably something simple like, the car goes up half an inch when you get out of the car.

In all seriousness, there are 4 major reasons

#1.) Weight transfer, aka physics. You turn to the left, the body wants to go right unless the springs react and push it back. Nothing you can do about this unless you want to take it up with mother nature and insist Newton's 1st law not apply to your car because it doesn't look cool

#2.) Uneven road surface causing wheels to not be on same plane. Certain wheels will drop while others will rise into wells. Again, nothing you can do about this unless you get the DOT to repave every road using a level. Good luck.

#3.) Turning the wheels on certain vehicles can sometimes lift the suspension on one side of the vehicle. Usually the inside wheel gap increases when you turn in just due to turning of the wheels on some suspension setups (weight shift, mechanical binding, etc). Nothing you can do about this either.

4.) Mechanical. Springs can sag and the rates are not always even. If you're a fat SOB, the springs on the driver's side can start to sag a lot sooner than the other side. So to keep this from happening, make sure you date girls around your weight range. If you weight 200 pounds...well then i'm sorry.

So if you want your gaps to be even, never ever drive your car and park it on a perfectly flat level surface with the wheels straight ahead and date porkers. Problem solved.

Gee, glad I made you laugh John.

Like I said, "I don't know if I'd call it physics". Okay, yes, if he's moving at 5 mph, then technically it's physics. But this happens when stopped & parked as well, that's why I said it. Him moving has no effect on what he's hallucinating about...

What do YOU think physics is?

What do YOU think physics is?
Physics does require "motion"--more accurately called "velocity"--but is just one concept within physics. But the laws of physics still apply even if velocity (motion) is zero.

Other related concepts would be "gravity", "inertia", "acceleration", "mass", etc.

There you go... you learned something today. Go tell your 8th grade teacher that dropping out of school at such a young age doesn't matter now that you have the Internet.

physics is everywhere, in static AND dynamic conditions.

everyone should take a minute and read through this thread. this is the goofiest, most pointless thread ever. very entertaining. i still don't know what any of us are talking about...

I've attempted reading what was trying to be portrayed a couple of times and can't come up with anything. I wish I could understand what OP was trying to say... other than the fact that he is involved in an epic fail:
