I'm &%#@! ed!!!!!
The right rear bearing went on my 03 sedan and I had it changed
by a mechanic that came highly recommended, after 2 weeks the wheel
is making noise. Brought is to another garage and was told that the bearing
bolt is stripped along with the drive shaft and that my new bearing has to
be replaced. Hopefully I can get the drive shaft re threaded...any thoughts
to what the hell happened, I won't bring it back to the garage that did the work as I have lost all faith in them.

I asked a few other mechanics about it, and they thought that perhaps the new shaft's torque specs weren't up to spec, causing it to flex a little more than normal.

They were able to rethread the shaft and replace the bearing but I drove
it and did the swirve from side to side and seems to make a little noise
on the right rear where all this work was done. When I originally called the
dealer to get the work done he said once in a while they have to change
the hub too, that is why I stayed away from the dealer, I jacked up the rear
and both rear wheels do not turn freely when the car is in neutral but not sure if its the brakes or what...
