Unhappy She really scared me today

I was on my way home sitting at a red light; it turned green and I tried to go, but I had no power at all. Slip, VDC, and Service engine light was on. I knew it was in limp mode. I pulled into a parking lot and tuned it off and back on. Seems to be running "ok" but the service engine light is still on. I goin to get the code pulled right now. Anymore help you be great.

Thanks

Nate

It's the TPS sensor and the dealership will change out your throttle body. Still under warranty? Not sure if it is covered under the 48 month / 60k mile b2b or the 72 month / 70k drivetrain warranty.

So weird...I had the same issue as well after having my car in close to zero degree weather overnight a month or so ago. Car went into limp mode and then after shutting it down for about 15 minutes, I started it up and it was fine. Had a CEL, dealer said it was throttle body sensor (which would be covered under warranty, however I have a REV-UP installed)...CEL ended up going away and car has been perfect. Odd.

Well, B Lam,...the short version...Engine needs air.....air is sucked in at the air filter box...into an intake pipe....into the throttle body.....the throttle body has a circular plate (throttle plate) that opens/closes based on what your right foot does.......then into an air plenum/intake manifold......now, you may be wondering, why is it called "throttle body", well I'll digress, when air enters the intake pipe it is traveling at a high rate, this high rate of inrush air has a tendancy to pummell or "throttle" anything in it's way, thus the name throttle body.

I had the CEL pulled and it was the TPS sensor. Had the code cleared; and now its fine. Another question; What if I get that code multiple times and just have it cleared each time, any serious damage possible?

Thanks

Nate

Another driver on here said the dealer covered it under the 72 month / 70k Powertrain warranty, so if you are still under the warranty, go get it fixed.
