How much does the stock hood weigh?! Experiment!!
Guys, I am working with a 350z owner that made a kit for the 350z that replaces the rod with hood struts. I have installed the ones for the 350z, but they are not strong enough. Obviously our hoods are heavier. I need someone to please get back to me immediately on how much our hood weighs. If anyone took their hood off for the Stillen kit, please measure it tonight! I would apperciate it!
Once we get these strut kit complete for the G35, it will be forsale! It's worth it!

Can't tell for sure, but as far as I can determine, my Coupe hood weighs in at approx. 30 lbs.
