I want to trade in my G35x for a G35 6MT

I posted this in the Buy/Lease forum but I realized I'd probably get more responses here. I have an OB 05 G35x with 33k miles on it, loaded prem/navi etc. I've recently realized I shouldve gotten a 05-06 6MT. Let's say I'm trading for a non-OB 05 6MT, in similar condition and similarly equipped with prem/navi. Does anyone have an idea of what I'd have to pay to make the switch?

Probably in the range of $1k.

The AWD option adds roughly $1500 to the vehicle's value. So your X is already worth $1500 more than a comparably equipped 6mt. But, of course, you are dealing with trade-in value on yours vs retail for the one you'd be buying, which is a difference of $2k-$2500, depending on the deal you cut. SOOo... $2500-$1500=$1k.

However a dealer is going to try to make as much money as possible off the deal so that number may grow even more.

Unsure how the private market is for an X in MD. It's higher in MA than in th south i would imagine as you could prob sell it and buy your 6MT and break even if you went private

On paper, the G35x is the more valuable of the two vehicles...but where you live plays a huge role in real world market value.
