Hey anyone who has recently bought or plans to buy a 05-06 G35X check this out!!!
Hi I am in the market for a 05-06 G35X with at least a premium package for options. I have done alot of research about the car and than even more on price in the tri-state area. I would like to share some information with other members in the search for a G35X. My friend has the galves book he works at a dealer, this is what the dealers really use as a guide to determine trade in value for the car not the KBB. It says 2005 G35X $13K and 2006 G35X $15K this is for average milage and in good condition once again this is just a guide and actual prices the dealer paid will vary based on milage and condition. I also know a guy that attends the dealer manheim auctions and he told me that a 05-06 with 25K-45K goes between $12K-$16K depending on condition, options, and milage so its pretty close. Now that you know what the dealer pays for them I want to share the best deals I located as a consumer. They all sold before i could buy them because my loan was not approved yet... All were clean title carfax and in excellent condition. 2005 G35X Diamond Graphite on Graphite Premium C package 52K original asking price was $15,995 negotiated to $14K from a dealer in PA. 2005 G35X also DG on Graphite Premium C package 60K asking $13,800 negotiated to $12,800 and than a 2005 G35X DG on Graphite Premium C package 32K !!! asking 17K negotiated to $15,800 private seller
Now if you recently purchased a 05-06 G35X could you post what you paid, where purchased, its milage and options. Thanks I hope this info can be usefull to other members that are purchasing a 05 06 G35X and to how much they really should be paying

An 05-06 G35x is about $18-23K on the dealer lot HERE depending on how it's optioned and mileage.
In fact, i looked at a BASE model 2005 G35 x back in November with $22K on the windshield. They would not take $19K with 36K miles on the clock. In fact, the dealer basically couldn't understand how i came up with 19K as a value for a BASE G35x with no options and 36K miles on it. They wanted $21K minimum. I walked
Now, my '06 G35x was bought with 25K miles on it, and is fully loaded with all options, Prem-C, Nav, stupid $80 trunk mat, etc. It was the exact car i would have bought if i could order new. It was even in tip top shape. I looked at about 20-25 cars before buying mine. I am not going to post what I paid because I know it's a few K higher than the rest of the country. I know i could have gone cheaper if i bought private, but i had a trade in I wanted to just get rid of and was having a tough time selling privately. I didn't really care about paying a little more, i just wanted the perfect car for me and got it

Yeah they can be expensive here too I just was sharing the best real deals I located. Some places have low asking prices but its usually used car dealers in urban areas and the carfax comes up no good or dealerships that say the price is the advertised price plus 3K down payment with the difference financed through them ha ha why would anyone want to deal with a shady dealership that tries to trick a buyer before they even get there LOL I just want to get some helpfull info out there thats all... Also there are not that many for sale by owner alot of these cars are leased or have a lien on them so they usually get returned off lease or traded in. Many of them go through the dealer auctions you can check this out through the carfax too. The more info the potential buyer has at the dealership the more aggressive they can negoitiate also take into consideration how long the car has been on the dealer lot for you can tell this usually from a carfax also. If it has been on the lot for a while and they can't sell it than it might go to the auction again and prob auction for less than they bought it for.

Bought mine in late January 2009.
2005 G35x Diamond Graphite everything but Navi, 25k miles $15,998.00 from dealer in New Rochelle, NY. Clean Carfax & Autocheck. I searched for a G35x since October of 2008. Before I found this one, I went through a lot of BS at dealers in Jersey and Manhattan, Brooklyn etc... They list dozens of G35s and when I go nothing is there and the only ones available are a good 3k more expensive.

My Certified Pre-owned 2005 DG/G G35x with PremC, just over 40K miles, Elite Protection Plan, brand new tires, winter floor mats, tax (6%), title, license, and $700 "cash back" for new winter tires, I paid just over $20.5K out the door last November with 3.9% financing thru Infiniti (only financed part of it). I know the finance manager from another Infiniti dealer, and ran the numbers by him, and he figures the dealer made at most $1000 in profit on my sale. I talked to the mechanic who certified it, and he said it was in great shape and had obviously been well cared for. The only thing they needed to do was turn the front rotors and put new brake pads all around. The same dealer had an identical 2006 G35x with about 30K miles on the lot, and they were asking $23,999 for it. The price of my car before tax, title, license, Elite Plan, and "cash back" was about $17.7K.
I could have gotten a non-CPO cheaper, but I wanted the 46/60K transferable warranty that the CPO/Elite Plan gave me. And since it was purchased from an Infiniti-only auction (Mannheim is dealer-only, not Infiniti-only), it is just about perfect. The paint needs almost no buffing even after a harsh northern winter, the interior is flawless, and there's only a single, miniscule nick on one of the wheels.

check http://www.cars.com
that's where I did the bulk of my research on pricing. I got a CPO 2005x in August 2008 at the best price available (in fact, it was the best price for about another 4 months).

Picked up my 2005 G35X with 39K and every option except Navigation last week for just under $19K. I probably could have found one for a little less, but this one came CPO through Infiniti with the Elite Extended Warranty. After the problems I had with my previous out-of-warranty vehicle, it was worth every penny to have this coverage.
