if they put salt up there during the winter months, which im sure they would, your coils would be ruined in a week tops without proper and diligent care.

That's a dangerous way to live your life.

Janik, I've said it before and I'll say it again--your family has too much money and not enough places to put it evidently.

Here's my paypal info....

You should be fine on coils. My buddy had them on his old 3000GT, and I don't recall him having a problem with his. He wasn't super diligent about hosing down his car every other day, but I don't recall him having any issues readjusting his car come spring.

I say do it. I wish I had the coin for some new coils.

Gotta save for the coils. Wouldnt buy them until Late July or August, but just wanted to know if they are fine in snow... other wise i'll just buy a stock setup and swap them. (which might be cheaper)

1. Don't go to college in your same state. Venture out before you settle down and can't easily move around. Minnesota sucks anyway...pretty much everywhere, and yes I lived there for a little bit

2. A nice car in minnesota is also retarded. They salt everything up there and you'll just ruin your car. coilovers are just pointless..

3. you're young and stupid..don't think you know everything yet. no offense..everyone in this forum will say the same thing about themselves at your age.

4. Your car is probably in worse shape than you think it is driving winters up there. Don't give me this blah blah blah...i know first hand living in st paul and chicago, cars get ripped up out there whatever you do.

5. spend the money fvcking college chicks and partying and making new friends from all over the nation...that experience is priceless.

Very good post/advice - EXCEPT... I fixed the 2nd & 3rd words in #5... never, NEVER spend "the money" on them - make them think you will - they will flock if they think you're gonna shell out $$$$ - but you're an idiot if you do! I never spent a dime at his age and did more chicks than the number of years I was alive.

I'd disagree with that statement unless you're rich. No sense in paying out of state tuition for an undergrad degree, especially if your state has good state schools. I went to the University of Kansas which was less than an hour from where I grew up. I had a freaking blast, but could still get home if I needed something.

Two things I don't recommend is:

1) Living at home while going to college. You can't get the college experience.

2) Make sure you know how to hold your alcohol BEFORE getting to school. I knew way too many people that either got into trouble or in way over their heads because they had been good lil' children in high school and didn't drink a drop.

As for snow in North Dakota, here are some pics from my friend who works for BNSF. This was the snow fall in ND yesterday. Have fun on those coil overs

+10000000000000 on fvcking as many college chicks as you can. that window will close up mighty fast and soon you'll be a dirty old man wishing he could go back in time. so people say...
