I drove from Houston, TX to Orlando, FL (1,000 miles each way) during Labor Day weekend with 2 adult passengers and my 1-year old son. We had close to 100 lb of luggage and belongings in the trunk and back seat area, and my car was sitting on 19's and Eibach Pro-Kit springs (1.1" drop). It drove fine the whole way (no shaking, no extreme tire wear or flats) but then again I had the car aligned and wheel balanced prior to the trip. I'll probably won't do that road trip again just because of having a 1-year old child in the car (took 24 hours driving time with the rest stops and overnight stay)

You've got nothing to worry about, especially if the personal stuff is mostly clothing.

I'm on a 350z suspension with 18" wheels. I went camping with 4.5 people (.5 for a big dog). The trunk was full with the usual camping gear + clothing + food. The ride was fine on the highway. It felt bumpier and bouncier on local roads...I guess because the springs were already partially compressed and it took the shocks longer to stop the rebound.

I've gone on longer ski trips w/ 4 people and a trunk full of clothes. I could barely feel the extra weight at all since the gear wasn't as heavy.

no worries, I've gone from Dallas to Ft. Worth and back with Me and 4 other people and their luggage on my Hotchkis springs, probably about 800 extra pounds or so...although the car is slow as hell with all that weight lol, plan highway merges in advance is my advice.
