Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

I just installed the Pro Kit on a G35 Sedan today. It took about an hour. It turned out just as I inspected on photoshop, looks good. Got couple of minor scratches on the lower bumper lip. No alignment yet at this point. I'll put up some real non-photoshoped pics soon. ...and yes, it's a lil stiff in a fun performance way. lol

Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

Were you guys insecure about letting people work on your G35 (probably being their first time dropping a G) at all? Did those installers say that it was tough work compared to their usual Civic's? Thanks

It's still a G thang!!

Well, one thing it's an eibach, it was well designed for the G35, and the installer was happy to install it. No signs of trouble during the installation. I've done my research in this forum and a local forum in my state that kept me mostly secure. thankz

Looks nice!! in my opinion you can never go wrong with dropping a car.. JUST REMEMBER TO CHANGE YOUR DRIVING HABITS! haha.. dont wanna bottom out..

My installer diddnt seem to have much trouble installing the eibach's.. took some time to finally realize what he needed to unscrew but nothing too big..

Thankz dude. yeah, I had to change my driving habit the second I drove off the shop. Alignment can't be done by a wheel shop, mechanic need to have the infiniti dealer to fax the "specs." I cant wait til its aligned, more adaptations to do. lol.

Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

From the pictures that I've seen of the lowered cars, they look great. I'm sure the body roll is reduced, which should make for even better handling. For those with just the Eibach ProKit, how is the ride? Without matching shocks, do the springs cause a bouncy ride? I wouldn't think that you'd have to worry too much about bottoming out, since the stock ride height is so high. Any comments?

Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

The bodyroll is reduced... the Eibach pro spring kit is very well designed for the G35.. even using the stock springs its not "bouncy"... it is stiff and follows the road but definetly not bouncy.. the G35 might not look too low.. but it IS!... the front lip of the car (the black area) is pretty low and you can scrape that pretty easily where I live..

Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

You're right. I wasn't thinking of the front lip. I'll have to consider that if I get serious about lowering the car.

Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

I don’t know if I should cover my lower front bumper lip with some kind of a clear vinyl/fake carbon fiber. lol. I think if the stock shocks have problem with the Prokit, then Eibach developers should have the Pro-dampers available for the G35 by now.

Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

Hey Herbz..
I dont think its really that big of a problemm.. I have scraped tia few times.. but have learned to turn into steep driveways at a better angle.. you could cover it.. but if you scrape really bad..it will go through anyways..

besides.. the actual part that gets scraped in the front is a smaller lip type thing .. its sorta two layered..

Re: Shocks for lowered cars?

Thanks. Oh ya, does this mean the only left in my sports package is titanium trim , shocks, and the 5-spoke wheels? Any difference on multilink and anti-roll bar on the non-sport tuned suspensions?
