I am looking to buy the G35 6sp. and was curious what range others have been paying. Not looking for the Premium package but probably the sunroof and Bose. I see that Infiniti is running .9% financing which certainly sweetens the pot.

Also, what other items have been added to your transactions by the dealer? What extra charges are acceptable and what is a last minute grab for the dough? I have heard of co-op advertising fees, titling fees, paperwork generation, etc.

For a 2004 you should be able to get it for < MSRP.

 

quickly, dealer markup is approx. 18%. Decrease that to under 5% and you have a good deal. Shouldn't be too hard.

 

It depends on where you live, I guess.
If there are a few Infinity dealerships around, you should be able to get it for something close to invoice. I got mine for invoice + $100, the total came out to $29,000. I live in the bay area, so there are quite a few of Infinity dealerships within 20 miles. If you live in West Virginia, it might be a different story.

Just be ready to walk out on them, man.

crap.. that should have read 8%, not 18%. As mentioned, you can get close to invoice with a little effort.

 

go in with an OUT-THE- DOOR (OTD) price range you will pay. then all the extra suff they want to add doesn't matter. for a car worth over $25K here in florida, my general rule of thumb is OTD for sticker price. my G was $30,600 sticker and i was OTD at $30,800. so to answer your question more directly, if you work backwards, i paid about $28,500 for the car before tax, tag, title, etc.

Which dealership did you get your G35 from at $100 over invoice? I got mine from the dealer in Fairfield at $500 about a year ago. I may be looking for an '04 soon and would like to get the best deal.

It was Peninsula Infiniti.
Note, that the invoice included ~$500 "marketing assesment fee", which apparently is a legitimate charge (meaning, that dealership acually paid those money to manufacturer).
