Hello everyone! I just bought a 2004 G35 Sedan 5AT with premi/sport/aero package. This is now my daily driver (along with my Nissan Frontier Crew Cab) I have a 94 300ZXTT Stage IV+ for the weekends, but I can see this car will be really fun to drive with my 2 year old son in the back. (He wont like it as much as mommy's Expedition with the Barney DVDs) Anyways reading lots of info in the forums about the beginning stages of modding. (Z tube and POP Charger) and Exhaust. I was also wondering about the VDC? Keep off or on. I have read that some owners are making the default set to off. Just trying to get more info on it. Thanks in advance!

What's up fellow newbie. Congrats on the new ride! I just picked up my `04 Sedan this last weekend. How's the sport suspension working out? I didn't opt for the sport package because I wanted the softer ride, but I miss the extra horses. You can never have too many! Happy posting!

Most will tell you to keep it on. If your skills are such that you feel that it just makes driving too dificult then you might want to turn it off.

Welcome to G35 driver, this forum is alot of fun and the guys are cool, nice sedan Anyway VDC I never drive with on unless its heavy raining or in snow, its so much more fun but also I know the car's limits and have suspension and wheel upgrades... I would suggest going into an open parking lot and trying it out like fast around a corner or so before doing it on a street. Have fun, Martin

Welcome to the forum.

I'd suggest leaving the VDC on until you find out the limits of the car and your driving style. You can easily feel/hear when it kicks in and can decide if it interfers too much with how you drive.

A couple of our members found out the hard way that taking the VDC off under certain conditions can spell disaster! For a bout of enthusiastic driving, you can always reach down and push the button. If you have it to default off, it's usually too late by the time you remember that you needed it, IMO.
