Crawford Plenum V 5

I just got my Blue Plenum installed and while it looks simply awesome, I really can't tell a difference in the ol butt dyno. I now have the UR Udrdrv Pulley, the grounding kit, the K&N CAI, the injen heat shield, and the NISMO mid pipe with the Crawford Version 5 Plenum...

Who knows...I am resetting the ECU tonight and maybe tomorrow will be different...the sound is awesome, don't get me wrong, but where exactly in the powerband am I supposed to feel these 10+ horsies?

Ok, gotcha the oem coupe mid pipe. Don't know why performance calls it high flow (ok I do know, sales).

(sorry for crashing your thread).

But I do love my Crawford pleneum.

Re: Crawford Plenum V 5

No prob...I hope after I put the car back together today that I love it too...but I just couldn't feel the difference at all besides a little more throatiness to the sound of the engine.

The mid pipe probably weight 1/2 of what the OEM Sedan pipe ways...while sounding a bit meaner via less restrictive resonance. It was well worth it when you hold both in your hands at the same time...assuming you can lift the OEM one with one hand lol

Re: Crawford Plenum V 5

I just installed the coupe midpipe this afternoon. Nice low level note to it. I like it!

Weight of sedan midpipe = 36 lbs
Weight of coupe midpipe = 12 lbs

No difference in butt dyno. So, I'll save for a performance system.

Re: Crawford Plenum V 5

aha...1/3 of the oem pipe...24 lbs is a nice little savings. I swear the pipe sounds better after like 2 weeks too.

I just got back from a nice little ride and it's official, after resetting the ECU over night and then all day via the battery disconnect the Crawford Plenum made no noticeable difference as the final mod I have done...the biggest problem with these cars, and it's only a problem at the track, is they have no timing advance off the line...there is such a spool up that you'd think you were waiting for a big a$$ turbo to boost up...other than that it sounds great and flies once moving.
