hey all! new member, new G35 owner..

Just wanted to say hey, and i love my new G35! i bought it last friday, its a '03 desert platinum sedan, with the aero package, had 66k miles on it, and overall id give it a 8.5 out of 10 for condition. A few small scratches, but the interior, other than some minor wear on the drivers seat leather is mint! id say i got a good deal on it, asking price from the dealer was $13,388, i got it for $10,600..
and i have to say everytime i drive this car i like it more and more, i had a '95 Z28 years ago that was definitley faster (12 sec. car after all the mods) but overall, the looks, sound and luxury of this car cant be beat for what i paid for it! im just going to mildly mod. it, it sounds like perf. wise, the 5/16 spacer, and maybe the ztube is the way to go, and ill just get a drop in k&n. maybe ill try to find a coupe midpipe in the future.
all im prob. going to add looks wise is clear corners and tint. my days of spending thousands on a car are over for now.. but i do love this car. ill post some pics once i thoroughly detail it this weekend.

nah, other than tint, and the clear corners i mentioned that prob. about it. if i happen to stumble upon someone selling some wheels i might get them if the deal is good enough.. maybe some stock 350Z or other infiniti 18's or 19's to replace my stock 17's.. but im not sweating it.. i just cant wait to detail it fully this weekend, clay bar, polish, wax. def. the nicest car ive owned as of yet.. and i never thought it.. but girls love this car! ive had 3 girls i know tell me how much they love G35's ... just another bonus i guess!

Watch the mod bug!!! Trust me, you are already registered... Stay away from ANY pic threads, the exhaust section, engine section last but not least form the market place. Welcome BTW, enjoy your G!

Good advice driguez. I wish someone had said that to me early on. To the OP, stay away from youtube as well, especially the HKS Sport videos.

Bah! Who am I kidding. I had the Z-tube/K&N upgrade on my mind when I drove home from the dealership. And then I thought "OK, spacer and grounding kit, that's all I need". Until I found a great deal on a Y-pipe and rev-up airbox, and now I've got a set of unrevised Coupe springs in my garage waiting for warmer weather.

Welcome ZAZ, you're gonna love that car. Sounds like you've got a good plan in place.

Welcome ZAZ. I, too, am a new owner. I've had my car 3 weeks and absolutely love it. This board has a wealth of information about the G's so look around if you have any questions. The search function is extremely helpful, use it before you ask most of your questions or you'll get flamed. Even then it seems mostly good-natured. I am planning to install a 5/16" MD spacer, and I have a ztube on the way. I also put in a drop-in K & N on the way home from buying the car These seem the most simple mods to begin with to get some more power and a better overall sound to the engine.

The DIY thread is awesome. Read through it, you won't be disappointed.

Enjoy your G, I know I dig mine.DOMO

Welcome and trust me, you will mod.

Whether you like it or not, you will be modding. It becomes like a drug habbit, and you'll do anything to support your addiction. Or maybe that's just me..

Ok, so first you will go with the Z tube since its only the intake tube. Then you might go with a spacer, after that, well coupe 19's look nice enough, ok now you need a drop, well im hating the side sills, lets look at the NISMO kit, its too quiet lets get an exhaust, ok now i need headers/HFC, shoudl i tune? what kind of gains? heck now i dont know if i should just go FI.... J/K Looks like you have your mind all set in what you want, again enjoy the G!
