Wow what a night out on DPA, for those who know of it in NY. So, I was on Deer Park Ave. tonight and a maroon eclipse gsx comes up next to me for about 5 minutes driving down dpa letting his turbo spool up and then letting it go with the loud whooshh.... I was like ahh damm, things pretty loud. I had two friends in my car he was by himself, so we are next to each other at about 40 in second gear, and he just punches it getting a car length or two before I notice. So I punch it late and it stays about a cl up untill 70 end of my third gear when I start pulling fairly hard, but I shut it down because of cops in that area. So we line up at the next light, hes looking over and starts revving it letting his BOV go off and im power breaking at 2k rpm, light turns and im instantly ahead by half a cl or a little more I looked back stunned because of his high reving launch that didnt jump on me, we are neck to neck up until 70-80 not sure didnt really see until we wind out the top of 3rd gear and I hit 4th and start pulling on him hard and we go up to 105 about 4k rpm in 4th to see that im ahead by 3/4 to 1 full cl of this gsx. Wow what an adrenaline rush that was, one of the best races ive ever had, really surprised also knowing how fast these gsx's can be. So he pulls into 7 11 and he's like wow I never knew those were that quick, I was like yea yours is too, nice run. he's like what is that a G20, I laughed and said nah G35 lol. he was like ohh those turbo ones rite, I was like nope just motor, he was like oh shi#, and that was the end. I never get to run many people, no Z's or G35's ever really wanna run and ive beaten most of them also. Great night for a kill in the G ahhhhhhh... Anyway, I might get some criticism but never post racing stories or BS for that matter either. I wish I had my camcorder, tomorrow night im gonna try and find him again!! Martin

Where has he been livin? In a cave? How can you be into cars and not heard of the G35 or the VQ?

Hehe, surprised u jumped out at him at the light. GSX are 4 wheel drive that means that they are suppose to jump ahead of you and not the other way around. They lose top speed due to the 4 wheel drive. I think the guy did not do a good job at launching his car. BUt even so....good run. I ran against a GST and we were about even. So.....good run!

Yea he def. didnt know how to launch good or great, I was even surprised. Who wouldn't be, jumping over half a car length on an AWD turbo car that's stick lol, he caught up real fast though! Torque overcame him though.
