I'm heading there today. I'm pretty bummed becuase I LOVE the car. It's exactly what I was looking for and they are rather difficult to find here in Central Ohio. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck bro. As the 50000000 posts have stated ,its def off. Hope you are able to resolve the issue. Their painting job sucks.

Took the car to Carmax at lunch. They were very nice and accomodating. They will agreed that the paint doesn't match. I drop the G off next Tuesday for the bumpers to be repainted. They even offered up a free loaner.

I should have it back late next week and will post shots then...

While this is unfortunate, reshooting the bumpers is cake and it only proves you get what you pay for when going to Carmax. You might pay a little more upfront, but it's a quality place and they don't resell ANY cars that have had any more damage than just bumper scuff. When it comes to the paint, keep in mind that shade still might be fractionally off. That's the way it goes when painting plastic vs metal. Even OEM paint jobs are slightly off on bumpers with silver and pearl white cars.

way off.... sometimes even a brand new vehicle straight out of the show room floor exhibit this off color due to the difference of materials used for the fender and the bumper. i've seen this on fairly new ivory pearl lexus rx 330 (rear bumper) and a gray/blue dodge charger (front bumper) parked close to where i work.

why do dealers bother to respray the front and rear bumpers. both of my bumpers had paint drips when i bought it.

They spray them quick because it does hide the little scuffs and knicks that might persuade someone not to buy the car. When inspecting the car, the average person will look to see if there are scratches and dents, not slight runs. If they can get away with it done quick they win. if they have to repaint it, bummer. but they still probably made a solid mark up on the car.

It might be color-shifter paint that goes from alpine white to ivory lol

yea that is way off ive seen the same color shades on a coupe's front bumper while driving and i noticed it from 100 feet away or so.

not a big fan of carmax. took my car there to get it appraised after I bought it and they offered me 18.5k when i got it for 16.8. I was pretty happy but then walked around and found out that they marked similar condition ones to 23-24k. this was back in 06 with my 03.
