awesome, awesome news! 25 min is good

how were your bolts etc? Were they hard to get loose? I have some liquid wrench stuff that should do the trick if they are on there really good.

how much lighter would you say the VQ is than the stock? (I know you have the straight mid, but just an estimate)

Hi Guys

My email system is having problems right now and I know some of you have emailed me. I can't respond to the emails right now but you can always send me a PM.

I should have the email fixed tomorrow.

Tony

Bolts came off pretty quickly, not sure about the weight, I think someone weighed them once but I don't remember who.

Degree of difficulty depends a lot on how rusty your exhaust is.

Mine was driven in Jersey for several years according to the carfax report, and those nuts are a bear to get off. I picked up a coupe mid recently and tried unsuccessfully to do the swap myself. I couldn't get even one nut off despite pb blaster, heat gun, and impact wrench. If your undercarriage is in good shape I could imagine it taking less than half an hour.

Tony-
any thoughts/plans for AWD compatible ART pipes? I figure I might as well ditch my rusty cats and y-pipe while I'm doing the VQ y-back.

I read in the ART pipes thread that they didn't fit on an FX35 - has anyone actually tried them on a G35x? I assume those AWD platforms are similar if not identical but don't really know.

yeah the owner before me was from Georgia, then before I moved back to Atlanta for school it was in South Carolina, so there's not the winter-stuff build up. I just remember last summer my friends and I tried to take the axle-back off just out of curiosity (wouldn't leave it like that) and I was only able to get the outer nuts loosened and off. But then again I didn't let the liquid wrench seep in enough and I didn't have an impact wrench etc, but I didn't pursue it since I wasn't going to leave it off anyways. Since this swap will be permanent I'll put more effort and prep into it, so hopefully it'll take under an hour.

And worse comes to worse I have a friend who races Nascar (low level but still...he's 20 and pretty good and definitely has the financial backing to move up) so he has all the fancy car tools and basically a full garage in his warehouse, so if need be I'll just take everything over there.

Sorry, there just isn't enough room for it.
