Weekend project.... Nismo, Stoptech.

Since I have nothing to do this weekend, I am going to install my Nismo suspension from my old Z. It will be the third or forth time I have done it, so it should be easy (1st time on a G).

I also plan to install the Stoptech 13" kit I had on the Z, again I have done this a few times, so I hope there will not be any issues. The first time I installed the kit I had a Z/G rotor and a R-34 rotor, neadless to say it did not fit too well.

I will update with pics, I have been waiting a while to intsall this stuff, but I was waiting on the Enkei RPM2's I ordered. I had problems with these also, one of the wheels had a small pin hole around the lip and it had to be replaced (very strange that there was a hole in the cast aluminum). BTW, the wheels are 18X8 all around with a +35 offset, they clear the Stoptech's and there should be no rubbing problems.... I have had them for 3 weeks, running 245/45 Falken 451's.

It'll be interesting to see the car after the S-tune install.

I have the RPM2's myself, though the color of your car will suit the rim color a lot better then they do on my car. I really wish they offered them in silver. At least they hide brake dust well.

Yeah, the S-tune's will be very aggressive on the Sedan. I am thinking about 1.5-1.75" drop. They are rated at 20mm all around on the Z, I measured it at about 1/2" on the Z (less than stated).
I will be very interseted to see what I can do about alignment, I may have to go with some adjustable suspension components, but we will see, I plan to align it later this week.

BTW, your car looks lower than mine, what suspension are you running?

Re: Weekend project.... Nismo, Stoptech.

I went with more aggresive alignment specs (dropped 1" on the Z suspension) and my oem rear camber adjustment is actually maxed out to ADD camber. I'm at -1.1/-1.4 front and -1.3/-1.3 rear right now. I have the LSD unique camber arms, but they are not on the car. If coupe's can correct with the oem adjustment system for .7" drops (equals a 1.7" drop for a sedan). You should have no problem aligning to coupe specs at the very least. I've found that the car behaves a heck of a lot better by NOT using sedan camber settings and having toe in.

Cool, I will keep that in mind when I get it aligned.

The front is done: shocks, springs, sway bar, and brakes.
The rear: tomorrow....

Re: Weekend project.... Nismo, Stoptech.

G35Lin, the exhaust is my custom true dual Injen system. I just reworked the mufflers, I had them repositioned a lot higher up. And I had my high flow cats repositioned higher too. I think the system looks so much better now.

Re: Weekend project.... Nismo, Stoptech.

Augie,
I got my Brake kit from Performance Nissan. I got the front kit, rear drilled rotors and brake lines. I spent less than 2K.

Martin,
Thanks Bro!!

G35lin,
Any word on your wheels yet?

Jran76,
Post some pix bro!

Happy 4th and be safe..
