Re: Pic of Sedan with 350 Z RS*R springs :)

G_Monster, can you help me out? I have a Sedan and I want to get the RS*R springs but don't know which exact one. I went on the RS*R site and there are 2 types of springs for the 350Z, the Ti2000 and Down Spring. Which one fits the sedan exactly? Am I supposed to get the one for the 350Z? I noticed that there is also one for the G35 Coupe? It's the one for the Z that you have right? Here's the website: http://www.rs-r.com/products/suspension/

Thanks!

Re: Pic of Sedan with 350 Z RS*R springs :)

If you want a linear spring, for best performance, you will need the *350z* RSRs. Also if you look at Gmonsters picture of the springs, Ti2000 is clearly printed on the side.

I believe he said that the RSR has a .6 drop all the way around. That will equate to about a 1.6 on the sedan. I did not want to drop that much, so I went with the Tein H-techs for the 350z (about 1.3 front and 1.2 rear). Not as performance oriented as the RSR but better than just about any other spring out there and a little better ride than the RSRs I suspect. You will just have to decide whats the most important to you.

Gmonster, could you please re-measure your drop from the wheel CENTER to the fender and with a FULL tank of gas? This will negate any differences in tire and wheel size and allow everyone to determine their drop and fender gap with the RSR. My measruements with the Tein 350z H-Techs are 14.25 F and 14.0 R with full tank. I would be interrested to see the difference in drop between the two.

OK,

Just looked up the RSRs and to expand on my answer. It appears that the down spring and the Ti2000 are identical in drop and in spring rates. What is different is the materials and wieght of material. The Ti2000 is made with titanium and is 30% lighter than the down spring. It is also stronger and longer lasting.......and more expensive (about $100 more msrp). So again it all boils down to what is important to you.

Thanks for the 411 av8r. Yeah, I didn't notice that the pics of the springs had Ti2000 on them. Even though those are better, I don't think it'll make that much of a difference for the $100 extra bucks. I think I'll go with the down springs. Thanks again.

The RSR 350Z and G35 coupe springs are very different. Not only in spring rates, but in that the coupe springs are very much progressive. The RSR 350Z spring is the best performance lowering spring at this time that you can buy for the G or Z. Only going to coilovers would be better.

RSR 350Z springs (just a wee bit progressive F&R, maybe one coil is progressive)
345/417 F+10% R+22%
Transfers +12% roll stiffness to rear

RSR G35 coupe springs (progressive front and rear)
315/315 F+0 R-8%
Transfers +8% roll stiffness to front

Am I still the only one running the koni sports for the Z? They are nice and adjustable (a plus for the sedan), and Koni has a good reputation. But Tokico would be the way to go for performance, if you're willing to wait. I, for one, wasn't willing to wait.

I think Konis have a better reputation, but I wasn't willing to spend and extra 200+ bones for a daily driver. You can get the tokicos for 499 shipped and the Konis are about 750 shipped. I think they are a little over priced, but that just my opinion. Bottom line is you really can't go wrong with either one and most people would not be able to tell the difference between them anyways. One last thing to consider is that Tokico makes the OEM shocks for the G35.
