How long to keep it?

I have an 03 BS sedan. She's about 10k away from hitting the magical and mystical 100k mile mark. Now, I've been looking at other cars, behind my baby's back, and thinking about a trade. But, I love her! she's a great car and I still feel the thrills whenever I'm behind the wheel.

When do you guys know it's time?

I'll know it's time when she is completely undriveable. I'm keeping her 'til the end.

You could trade her in and upgrade to a newer g37 and it's only better than your car now..sure u would miss your old car but if u trade it in now u should be able to get a decent trade in price..it's really up to you..It's hard for me to get rid of cars I get attatched to them..

Trade only if you have fallen in love with another car and can't afford to keep it. Trade if it's starting to nickle and dime you to death. But don't trade because of the LOW milage you now have. From my experience with Nissan products you probably have another 100 - 150K miles let in that car.

My 91 300zx had 192K on it before I had to sale it due to needing the funds. Your car will run forever. 100K miles is nothing. Keep it for another year or two then sale it.

Get a 370z!

I have the same car as you (same year, color) and she just hit 45k. I would say keep the G until major problems come up (expensive ones), then sell or trade her for the g37 (sedan or coupe) or a 370z.

My car will be 5 years old in about a month with only 45,000 on the odometer. Nothing in the market right now that makes a change worthwhile to me. Maybe when the next generation G Sedan comes out I will upgrade.

Actually I have been thinking about a Jeep on XTerra so I can run over potholes and speed bumps without cringing, but I don't think I would be happy in a SUV or truck.

like others have said, i'm keepin my ride til it falls apart and no longer runs. i'd say replace it only if you really really want something else.

i have an 05 w/ 56k. At least another generation before I start looking. If the next design is totally sweet (interior and exterior) and is running 0-60 in the mid 4s it will be hard not to upgrade. Although I ike the 2nd gen, the differences are not enough to make me want to switch.

I had a chance to drive the new g37 sedan and i just fell in love with its attributions, but i still love my 06. While my sedan lacks various features, I still enjoy every time.. For the next car i am planning to purchase bmw 6 series or infiniti m35 or lexus gs350.

I would keep it too. At this point you have nothing to lose. Save your money and get a new car when you really need it. Assuming its not being a money pit.
