Re: Philly Roads...........

I just came back from Philly, I drove around a lot there, including in the city, I didn't find the roads there any worse than they are around here, NM, more traffic is all! And the people on 95 thinking THAT is the speed limit, LOL. I did drive on a cobblestone street, now that was rough!

Re: Philly Roads...........

I agree!! Just avoid hitting the potholes/ manholes and stay away from the cobblestone roads!! I think every infiniti should have these roads just to check where our rattles are coming from. It would make it alot easier to pin-point.. LOL...other than that... I don't understand why Philly still need to have these awful roads.

Re: Philly Roads...........

Just spent a couple of days at the Four Seasons this week on business. Basically just down 95 and back. So I washed my car today and sh$t!!! Road tar! Half toasted a clay bar on it. I lived in Philly for about 10 years. The roads sucked then and they still do!

Don't get me wrong, I love Phila. Lol!

It's called "history", LOL, when I was a kid, there weren't near as many cobblestone streets, a lot of them had been paved over!

X-Man, why are you using the clay for road tar? Tarminator or similar works really well! BTW, you probably got that tar from I-95 in Philly, my rental car had a lot of tar on it from there, that's a mess with that construction!

Re: Philly Roads...........

ABQ,

Didn't have any tar stuff this morning. I just started washing and noticed all of these specs on the lower front doors ands fender. Clay bar was what I had at the time. What's the Tarminator stuff? Is it good for wheels also? I'll be traveling later this Summer and plan to bring a small supply of cleaning supplies.

Damn 95!!!

Re: Philly Roads...........

Xman, Tarminator is another Stoner product, (the company that makes Invisible Glass) it's made for removing tar and sap it says http://www.tarminator.com there are also others, I just purchased a can of this, but so far haven't needed to try it. You didn't get any scratches using th clay on the tar, did you? Sometimes that has some tiny stones in it, found that out the hard way on one of my previous cars! Yeah, 95 seems to always have a construcion project, no matter when I go!

Re: Philly Roads...........

Luckily I didn't scratch. I used plenty of soap with the claybar. Thanks for the tarminator suggestion. I just ordered some. Sounds like a good deal. For $20 you get 2 cans plus 2 cans of invisible glass.

Re: Philly Roads...........

I think you'll find tar comes off much faster and easier with a tar remover like that! And, the Invisble Glass it great, rarely leaves any streaks at all!

Re: Philly Roads...........

You would think they could make them cobblestone and be a bit smoother with all of todays technology, I went down Dock Street, it didn't look that rough, until I drove on it, geez!
