theft question?
What's up everyone? Okay so I'm in the process of changing insurance company's and I was talking to this guy that told me that g35 were getting easier to steal. I was surprised to hear that he said they had a guy that had his car stolen and the collom wasn't even busted,I had a civic stolen the same way!!!bastureds, so my question is, is it really that common or was he just messing with me? And also wouldn't it be impossible to turn the car on with out the key?
Anything is possible with a flatbed. As for other ways, so piece of crap at a dealership could buy, cut, program a key if they had the ability and your home address is usually in your glovebox.
I used to know somebody that cut ANY keys all you need is there VIN, but the chances of that are very slim. Your old civic was WAY easier to steal just cause its a honda, ever heard of master key? Im sure infiniti is not as easy to steal as hondas.
a normal g35 sedan isn't too high on the theft list yes, hell i don't see them on top 100 cars stolen list.
a flatbed can take anything within 2 mins and be gone, most people wont even think twice. if they want your car they will take your car end of story. One thing we do have is a immobilizer which can stop the entry level thieves but only slow down the vets for a minute or so.
are you worried because you have a lot invested in your car? or just overall fear. civics are taken because many assume their is a lot of money invested in them, kids know how to take them since they own and drive them so they can practice on their own. to bypass a RSX's immbolizer you just pull down the glove box trims swap the ECU with a k-pro equiped ECU with the immbolizer bypass already done and then you just proceed with the normal hot-wiring of the car.

Ur right but that's probably one reason why it is suggested that ur registration be kept in ur wallet and not in ur glove box like 95% of americans probably do. There is also still this thing calles hot wire, and pretty much any car can be done
also keep in mind that hondas are the most stolen cars because they are also the most owned cars
