you CAN paint it, all you need is a flex agent in the paint. Unless you were planning on rattle canning it. I was under the impression that the Ebay ones came painted.

you cant use it when spray painting. It's used at body shops and is mixed into the paint before the car is sprayed.

Just let the lip spoiler sit flat for a few days. Use books or something to help it lay flat. Then you won't have any issues.

Lay it out in the sun for a while on a flat surface.

You can paint it, im a bodyman by trade. It should be sanded with a PPG sponge that takes off all of the release agents and scratches it for paint. Then it should be wiped with the PPG adhesion promoter wipe. Then sealer follows, basecoat and clearcoat. The flex probably isnt nessecery since once the spoiler is mounted it shouldnt be moving anyways. The paint stays flexible for a while. Thats the best way ive heard of doing it. And very very rarely does it fail. Take it to a reputable bodyshop thats a PPG shop.

I sanded mine, used adhesion promoter (primer), then I painted, clear coated, sanded with 1500 grit, then clear coated again.

Turned out nicely.

I do not know what color is your car but mine is black and I have the same lip. I sanded and I painted with the regular black paint BUT the one for plastics, you can find them in the home depot and Lowes.

Cool. I think you'll like the look. It'd be better if it was like 5mm longer on each side.
