I wanna do something different with my grille. Post up pics if uve done any modding to ur grille.

 

I ran the flat black grille and chrome mt fuji for a while. Then got bored anhd painted the mt fuji a gloss black to contrast to the flat black grille. Looked good, but now I am back stock

Just realized the 05-06 bars are thinner on the top and bottom. It that what you wanted Mike?

 

2 questions-
1) who did ur headlights, i really want that clear lens and black out the housing.
2) How do u think a gloss black emblem delete grille would look with the rookie bumper?

 

I went with the whole "front bumper, headlight, and grill delete". Haha. j/k. This was while I was redoing my headlights and grill.

I didn’t notice them being thinner... I always thought the overall shape was a little different, vertically wider - but 05-06 isn’t necessarily the grille I wanted... I kinda had a certain idea of mesh-able frame - similar to UT but much thinner frame... the 03-04 vertical space is much shorter than coupe - so the UT style grilles with a wide frame looks a bit odd and lessons the airflow... so that's kinda what I was thinking of.

Otherwise I’ve always thought a Lexus/Bimmer vertical bar style grille might be worth a look

I'd love some totally different idea/style grille though... got any?

Mr. caskyline (Randy)... he is to the coupe what Viet is to the FX - he has the kick@ss orange coupe (if you've ever seen pics) - but doesn’t post out here anymore because he's one of the smart ones that got tired of the drama (there are 3 or 4 guys I know that have lots to offer, but don’t post out here anymore for the same reason).

As for the grille... I really like emblem delete (I'm going that route, but trying to find a used grille so I can have both, the one I have and a gun metal emblem delete)... I don’t know about gloss black on a dark car - are you BO or TB? - either way, something with a little contrast might be cool. But when it comes to aesthetic stuff, its really all personal preference - and some would say I'm not the guy to ask (tails, GG, etc)... so whatever you like go for it.

 

yep, I see it.. and definitley wider top to bottom (not the bars, the overall shape) - kinda like the coupe...

Yea tht looks like the coupe grille, but i really like it. Looks good on the sedan

 

I have a TB. I think ill go with the emblem delete.hmm i have two grilles. Im making a emblem delete grille. i think i shud be done this weekend. I can give you the other grille for 45. let me know
