Re: scraping

That first pic is showing the drop in the front, here;s a side and rear drop, there is about 4-5 inches of clearance between the body kit and the ground, and in some pic's like 3! Heres another

And here's one more of my car in motion, its crazy low but looks sick. Good luck with your decisions, go for 19's and drop it =) Also sorry for all the pic's, just tryin to give you an idea. Some cars that are too low and actually hit the ground on the highway going fast over bumps. Martin

Re: scraping

Thanks for all of the picts! It is very helpful to see other people's setups. I would probably go for the Eibachs if the drop was going to be a predictable 1" or so, but I've also heard from others about their somewhat unpredictable drop. I guess that I have some thinking to do! Thanks again!

Re: scraping

NP, it will be like night and day between the drop and stock, it compliments the car so much better especially on rims. Eibach is good for 1" or a lil more, nothing too outrageous. Good luck with it, post pics when done. martin

Re: scraping

Hello,

I recently got new wheels and the Eibach Pro Kit. I'm on 245/35/19 front, 275/30/19 rear, sedan, sport suspension.

Generally, it's been pretty decent. I have some fairly hefty speed bumps at my work parking garage, however, and my front mud guards often scrape. My rears seem to clear ok now, which is weird since that's what scraped when I first got it.

You kind of need to go at large dips and steep driveways at an angle. That'll help you clear more often. However, I don't think the Eibach is so low that you have to do this for every little incline like a lot of lower cars do. You can get by with a bit more.

At the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas, the parking structure is such that the area between floors is rather steep, then becomes almost horizontal where you can turn onto the particular parking floor. One of those angle changes is sharp enough that, if I'm not careful, I'll actually scrape the middle of the bottom of my car.

I was pleased that the ride did not seem to suffer from the kit, at least for me. People generally say that the kit will make the ride a little bit stiffer, but I haven't noticed that and almost feel like it's slightly softer. I'm not sure if I'm delusional.

Re: scraping

CDogg, thanks for your additional input. It is good to hear what people's actual experiences are. I'll certainly post some pictures once I get things squared away...

CDogg..
"almost feel like it's slightly softer"

I know what you mean.
This is due to the progressive spring rate of the Eibachs.

They do a great job of handling those annoying tar strips etc.
But as the suspension is pushed more to the limits, they firm up.

I love them, great for an everyday car, allthough I don't think they would suit someone that's into autocrossing.
