2005 Sedan Front Spoiler

After hitting too many curbs my front bumper finally split off the little black under spoiler strip that runs along the bumper cover. The body shop I took it to told me that the sedans are one piece attached to the front bumper and cannot be replaced and gluing it back on is a temporary solution so, without telling me, they stripped it off of my car. I'm wondering if this piece actually serves a purpose. The bodyshop told me it was to prevent the bumper from getting damaged since this piece strikes the curbs first. The dealership told me that it served an aero purpose contributing to the zero lift front/0.27 coefficient of drag. If so I kind of don't care anymore since my car has the OEM splash guards and I'm tempted to go ahead and purchase the coupe mid-pipe because I like the sound on the 05s posted on YouTube. Speaking of aero, is it only my car or does any other G35 owner experience instability at highway speeds especially when it's windy? My mom's minivan and my girlfriend's Mini Cooper don't get blown around as much as mine does. I was thinking it was related to my collision repair but when it's not windy the car doesn't seem to be affected.

That little black piece broke off of mine as well. I missed it at first, but it's been so long I don't even thing about it now. Only way to get another one is to replace the bumper cover. You could get the OEM lip if you want.

Get a front lip. Since you hit the oem quite a bit you will probably rip the lip off too.

Problem solved. Swerve for roadkill while you're at it.
