not really.
yes, they are bolt on, but you do have to modify your fenders. and the fender mod is irreversible.

really? have you used them?

you still have to open your door sideways till it will go up.
it is not an advantage in any way.
when I would park in the city, I had just as many problems opening doors.

No, haven't used them. I just assumed you push them out a little and then raise up so it doesn't have to open as wide. Like I said, I'd never EVER get them....maybe if it made my car fly then I would to beat traffic.

sorry if I sounded rude.. I re read my comment, and.. you know how internet goes, intonations are not transferrable.

you are correct, you have to open it, but in order to fully open the door, it has to be openned at least 35% of the usual rate.

You didn't sound rude at all man, lol, but the way I wrote my response made it seem like you put it that way, lol...I was just clarifying I wouldn't use them, that's all. Also just saw that you posted you gotta do some work on the fender, I'd definitely pass on that. Imagine something getting damaged...bummer.

you spend less than 30 seconds of yoru day (if that) opening and closing your car doors.

If you wanna be cool (or a tool) depending on who looks at you fro 30 seconds a day.......and you can live with the headches if you get cheap hinges and install them wrong, the by all means go ahead.

Let me do a cost benefit analysis:

Cost: $800-1500 depending on who you get them from
Cost: Risk of looking like a tool
Cost: Leaky door
Cost: swishing during highway speeds
Cost: door doesnt align right and it creaks
Cost: Fender fvcked up from improper installation
Cost: door flew up and hit your forehead while entering car

Benefit: Looks cool for 30 seconds a day
Benefit: High school kids love me now

I think the cost outweighs the benefit, thus it's not an economically sound decision.

I would be very embarrassed to get out of my car in public with those things. It would also be a pain in some garages with low ceilings. If you really wanted them though, maybe you could drop it off at Xzibit's shop and he could hook you up!

I remember this story from waaaaay back when lambo doors first came out. I was getting gas. There was a payphone in the corner of the gas station lot. Kid in Honda civic pulls in, proceeds to open is driver's side lambo door. Then he walks over and opens the passenger door. He was all alone.

He then walks over to the payphone and proceeds to make his call.

SInce i was filling up a truck, i had some time to wait. Anyway the kid wraps up, goes back to his car, closes both doors and drives off.

I was like

Personally, i would be embarrassed to drive a car that had them. I'd prob wait til nobody was looking to open my door and get out.

So pretty much.....when you have lambo doors.....you end up having invisible/imaginary friends?

man that +1 benefit right there!!!
