Received Infiniti VIP member upgrade. Should i upgrade?

This month, Holman Infiniti is extending this special offer to our most loyal customers. we have an urgent need to BuyBack your Infiniti G35 sedan. Due to Infiniti production cutbacks your Infiniti G35 sedan is now worth more than ever! We would like to purchase your Infiniti G35 sedan at above maket vale right away!
You will also receive discounts andrebates up to $10,000 or financing as low as 0% APR. With a high trade value and huge discounts you may be able to upgrde to a new infiniti at the same or lower monthly payment during our VIP Upgrade Events that ends May 31, 2009.
THey gave me a VIP # which to refer to if i decide to call them and upgrade.

So is this thing a good deal for me or its just something they cook up to get me to spend $$$ in a recession?

I have a 2005 G35x really well taken care of. I still love the car but she's pushing 60,000k and in August she's out of warranty.

WHat do i do? i do like the ideal of a brand new ride, this time NO BLACK, i'll go white with a black roof (my fav).

Any ever get this? is it good stuff or should i just get back to work and not daydream of a new car?

I would look into it and see what kinda deal they can set you up with for a new G.

The $10,000 rebate sounds pretty interesting..

most likely lower payments arent going to happen your either going to pay a little more or a lot more. i'd say check it out but if the deal isn't to your liking just walk away, dont get talked into some stupid deal where they end up coming out on top.

All you can really do is talk to them since your car is almost out of warranty you should probably trade up, I am sure you will fall in love with the new G sedan. And if it's not a tonne more cash then go for it.

don't even bother, it's all hype. you can make/get a great deal at any time, so long as you are willing to walk away from the deal. after all, it is your money, don't let them trick into thinking that by giving them more of it, you'll actually be saving money....

First - Dealerships are struggling to sell new cars.

Second - Dealerships make more money off a used car than a new car. Which is why they want yours so badly. Used car values have actually gone UP!

Third - Why get yourself caught up in another 5 year committment in this economy? Save your money. The worst is yet to come.

It's all hype and the OP said it correctly when he said Infiniti trying to get him to spend $$$$$ in a recession. Your car is worth a lot as they claim, then you should keep it.

I'm familiar with the new car bug, fight it. Ask yourself this, will you trade in your cars everytime it's close to warranty expiration? If the answer is yes then go ahead and enjoy ur new car (someone has to stimulate the economy) if the answer is no then fight the bug

+1. I get these all the time. They're just trying to entice you into coming into the showroom. If you want/need a new car, then get one, but don't go there just because they flash a $ in your face that you'll never see.

They'll tell you anything to get you to step into the dealership. Then they go to work on you. Don't do it!

put it this way: You are as VIP as a guy driving his 92 corolla into the dealership trying to trade up. If they can make money off you, they don't care who you are.

Think of it this way, how many companies out there are NOT trying to make extra money off you? The purpose of a business is to increase profit, thus, offering you a deal that seems like it would benefit you, but in actuality, it will just return larger profit gains for the company. They don't want to help you, they just want your money.

^ the glass is half empty to us. LOL

put it this way again.....you didnt plan to get a new car, now that you are VIP, you want to go and get a new one. you get pwned on the trade in , and then mini pwned on the new car....and the pwnage continues as more VIP's flow in.....
