Sorry to hear about that man, had my 99 Si stolen and stripped. Think I found the guys that did it but the cops won't even respond to my messages I left them. Guess I'm not rich enough. All I can hope is that Karma comes around and gives them my pain twofold.

That sucks man,I personally know the feeling man. A little off topic my previous apartment was burglarized,I dont understand why sorry people like that cant go on making an honest living.i cannot stand thieves,i moved into a more decent area. Im still a little jumpy i really dont like people hanging around when im leaving im checking noises coming from outside.. cause after something like that you are never really the same its a very violating feeling.Just recently i had something strange happen,I heard someone knocking on my door one morning and i thought who is knocking on my door this early in the morning on a sunday?I looked out the peephole and a little girl was standing on my patio,I didnt answer it. And now this little girl goes down to my car now, And now is basically trying to open up the doors on my car. And is peeking through my windows..I opened up my door so fast it wasnt even funny.. ugghhh that P@$%%!^ Me off.I Think if it woulda been a grown man.. it woulda been on like donky kong i woulda lost it...Im sorry for your loss man...

Who leaves over $1200 in clubs and a digital camera in a car that is parked in the street? IDk where you live but that is just asking for it, especially if you have a system, its like a bonus for thieves.

I dont mean to sound like a dick but damn...Well you learned the hard way and hopefully your homeowners policy can help you.

You sure? It was in the street, not on your lawn.. Thats city property, and I would bet if you push the issue, it would be covered under Auto

any tints? no alarm? $1200 in golf clubsssss!. Not a very good combo. I dont leave anything in my car that looks electronic, i take my ipod touch everyday out the car and thats the only thing i have electronic in my car. But u pratically have a Radio Shack in yours.
Reason being my sister got her car broken in because they were looking for her ipod because they saw the ipod wire out of the cassette player hanging out, and my dads truck recently got broken into and that happen right in front of the house.

Check Craigslist if anything, maybe the thieves are dum enough to post it on there. Best of Luck.

The way I understood it was that the car's belongings were an extension of the home. So anything attached to the car: auto, belongings in the car: renter's or home insurance.

Well though I am not a claims adjuster, I do know some things about insurance companies, and if the box was screwed down and you had a picture of that being the fact, they usually cover it... But only stuff that is actually fastened to the car...

Items that are permenantly attached are covered under auto insurance, but the majority of companies like Geico you have to add these items to your policy as a rider since they are considered aftermarket and pay an additional premium. Everything from LED lights to tints...

personal affects like golf clubs or anything else that can be stolen out of your car that is not permenantly attached is filed as a claim under either a HO or rental policy.

So this can be a real pain if you have $2K worth of stuff stolen and you have to make two claims and meet two deductibles.....
arrrrrrrrgh damn thieves....

I have 5% tint on back and rear windshield and visor. 20% tint on front windows.

The only reason that the car was parked outside was because my radiator was leaking and I didn't want to pull the car into the garage until later. I forgot to bring it in that night... btw, the neighborhood is a nice area. Not ghetto or rundown. It was right out in front of the house.
