leave nothing visible in the car! if you have to park with stuff in the car, make sure it is in the trunk. and engage the "trunk lockout" button in the glovebox so the thief can't get into the trunk without prying his way in.

items like golf clubs are covered under house insurance.

Sorry to hear that man. I hope your insurance can cover it all. If not, dust yourself off and get something better now for your car. And ohhh yeah aftermarket alarms do help. Once a thief hears it go off they really want to get out of there and it gives them less time to grab stuff. Good luck
