Acceleration Lag with 2006 Sedan -automatic
I can fully relate to the lag you are talking about. I have had my g for 5 months. One that i test drove would smoke the tires from a stand still!!!(04 btw). Never tested mine(assumed it would spin) until 2 weeks later and it simply takes off no spinning what so ever And that is with vdc off.Very disappointed.Did more reading and did ecu reset, runs better but still won't spin the tires which may be juvenile to some but after having performance cars all my life(my c5 would burn them up rolling at 30mph auto) it has become an obcession for me.G runs fine otherwise and I've heard its in the ecu which can be tuned out.Anymore ideas?
I'm a 2006 g35 sedan owner also (eletronics tech) means i know the importance of good grounds. The 06 G35 has 1 factory ground from block to body (not enough) since this has to start and run the whole car. When i bought the car at 25K it ran like crap compared to loaners from dealer. The way to go is use 8GA car audio wire and plated crimps soldered, get as many points from block to body as you can. I have 5 block and 11 body points, my windows and seat motors are very fast and the throttle response is soo good it scares me sometimes, this car is now a porsche G35. I'll do o-60 in 5 sec!! running 93 octane with K and N and grounds no other mods! Do it you'll B happy
I'l take some pictures but not making any cables to sell. If your going to bother you'll need soldering skills and the million strand audio 8GA wire, forgot to mention i soldered the 4GA batt cables and both ends of the main 4 +wires from the fuses and use conductive grease on all screws pre-cleaned with NAPA QD cleaner so if you do all this you can do it. Lets not forget the water injection to get all carbon out of the exhaust system, took me a year over time to get here but it can be done how bad do you want it??????
