Angry 46*** Miles on my G

Hey guys,

So i have been reading around the forums and noticed you guys take really good care of your cars mechanically.

I want my new car to run as perfect as possible. As far as i know the first owner never did a thing to the car besides brakes which i need new ones any way, tires and a battery.

What do you guys suggest that i do to my poor un cared for car

I really wanna beat the previous owner for not treating this car as it should be

So...what do you think its going to take for this car to run in tip top shape again, cost wise and things i need to get done to it.

For me , when it comes to things like this i would prefer it be done professionally because i dont want to risk anything and i like to have the peace of mind of being abel to blame it on some one JK

Take it to the dealer and have them perform a vehicle inspection. Will tell you exactly what your needing.

My car was a fleet vehicle of some sort (enterprise im pretty sure) but hopefully i never got some immature pos beating the **** out of it.

Runs fine though now that i had everything done.

Well, most likly a tranny service, diffs serviced, new belts, uhh some synthetic oil, premium fuel, then a few other things the dealer will probably recommend (they will make you a list.)

im going against you on this one janik! lol check it all out yourself man save some money! get a cheap jack to check your diff oil and all your boots, axels, brakes, blah blah blah and check your break fluid, borrow a compression tester, and check all your fluid levels. If everything is completely clean then call yourself lucky if not then replace it all. No sense in taking it to the dealership to only end up paying $200 just to have it checked out when you can do it yourself for free. just my 2 cents

oh yeah unless your warranty covers it forgot about that. If it does then just have them check it out for you.

If still under warranty, find some little defect that will be covered and have it inspected by the dealership.

They gave me a print out of all the stuff my car needed last time i was in for warranty. I said "thank you" and took it home and did it myself

you could even ask them to do their full 128-point free inspection when you take it in for an oil/filter change.

There is a service and maintenance guide that should have come w/ your car. This guide has all of the recommended services and mileage intervals at witch to perform these actions and keep your car in optimal running condition. I would look those up and have as many of those done as you can afford, or do them yourself.
