Damn, that could be a picture of my car. I noticed my windshield was cracked in the same spot, even in the same pattern last week. The rock hit right below the wiper. Odd coincidence.

 

I am not sure if you guys did a search on this topic. It appears to be a design flaw with our windshields. My windshield cracked the same way, no one was on the road, but me. My insurance paid for it. This was back last year. At the time, there were several posts from a bunch of people stating they all had the same issues. INfiniti hasn't admitted to anything, but the dealers are saying they have seen an abnormal number of windshield cracks with our cars.

If there is an impact point, the windshield cracked from a stone, if it just cracked from stress, there wouldn't be an impact point. Mine definitely took a rock hit, I saw it coming, just didn't see where it hit.

WoW!! The pic from 5ATdriver is also practically identical to where my crack started and how it propagated! I saw the rock that hit mine, so that started it, but the stress zones that cause the propagation are very uniform.
