Hello to everyone...new to the group...'06 G35x.

I have a question that I researched, but couldn't locate. When I press my Rear Defroster I get tons of static from the radio, any suggestions? (non bose)

Thank you all!!

Sorry guys but I'm no help. I've got the Bose and haven't had any issues like that. I did get a scare this week, my radio display froze and none of the controls on the radio itself worked, but the steering controls did. Turned off the car, turned it back on and it was all good. Knock on wood it was only a passing thing!!

Crazy stuff!! I would have figured in this day and age, they could eliminate all types of radio interferences. The search continues...

Anyone with a baser 05+ that doesnt have bose, go try it out and see if it does it for you. I didnt drive my car much over the winter so i didnt notice it, but i did notice it last fall, anytime id turn the defrost on my radio went fuzzy.

Geew1z...it only happens on AM/FM, CD works fine and no SAT.

JoClezyG35, I thought that might be the problem, thankfully, it is still under warranty.

Thanks.

Well the antenna module or whatever is behind the back pillar, I think on the driver side. So the defroster and it are somehow interfering. You can try to take off the pillar and make sure no wires are touching together

Hi Guys

I had the same issue back in November and i brought it in to the dealer and they had to replace the rear window. Its the only fix for it. After it was replaced i have had no issues.

send it to the dealer asap. just make sure they do a good job, because usually they have sub vendors to do it, and most of them suck and are careless about the cars.

My radio is constantly fuzzy. I got an 03 g35 sedan from an auction and the previous owner clearly had an aftermarket radio that was installed and uninstalled prior to selling. I have the OEM, but the radio doesn't come in clear unless I catch an incredibly strong signal which leads me to believe that the antenna is either broken or wasn't reconnected when the OEM radio was reinstalled.
