7500 miles service
Re: 7500 miles service
It was 168.13 but the dealership had sent me a flyer for 10% off any service-
So I paid $150

my dealer did the 7500 mi service for free.. i hadn't realized you had to pay for it, though.

Re: 7500 miles service
Let's see now, the 7500 mile service includes:
- replace oil and filter
- inspect brake pads and rotors
- inspect steering gear and linkage, axle and susp. parts
- inspect exhaust system
all for the great price of $168! Not!
I'll go get my wheels balanced and rotated and do these checks myself at 7500 miles.

Re: 7500 miles service
if it includes the alignment and rotation, that's a little better. But I go to Firestone for Lifetime alignment which includes lifetime rotate and balance, for $89 + tax. My own oil change (Mobil 1) will cost me $27.
And since Firestone wants to increase my business, every 5K miles, when I take it in for the rotate and balance, they perform the steering, brakes, belts, etc.... inspections free of charge

Re: 7500 miles service
Its so funny you should inquire about this. On Saturday I went for my 7500 mile service. I called an made an appointment for an oil change and when I got there they told me additional things needed to looked at. So instead of $30-$40 it would have amounted to about approx. $150.00.
Well what i thought would be 30 minute wait turned into a wait over 3 hours on a Saturday. In addtion, I had my 21 month old son with me, so I had to entertain a 21 month old for 3 hours. Needless to say my son sat (driver's seat) in every car in the showroom and explored the entire bldg with me in tow.
The Infiniti service manager offered me lunch, some complimentary items and because I responded so calmly and so patiently each time they told me they were almost finished...They did not charge me a dime for service!!! I was in Saturday mode and it pays to be nice. Further the service mgr (lady)loved my son.

Re: 7500 miles service
Tire rotation and balancing I can understand, but alignment? A car with 7500 miles on it should not need an alignment unless it pulls to one side or the other. As far as the other "recommended" services and inspections, again I think it is overkill.
