hey guys

tourqe wrench was faulty. after getting one that works no wonder it snapped the bolts! 40 inch/lbs is so light! not much force at all.

good news is got my replacement bolts today and i installed everything again with the good tourqe wrench.

all went well and i installed the plenum spacer without a hitch.

i did an ecu reset for good measure.

started the car and the car was all good. but dyno suggests car picked up a bit more power in the mid range too around 3000rpm really has a bit more grunt to it.

No noticeable noise changes in the induction as some people have reported. sounds the same really to me.

One niggling problem i have found that has reared its ugly head.

When i try start the car when it is warmed up, the revs rise as per normal but when they drop the car now stalls? When the car is cold its ok cos it goes into cold start and the revs drop slowly.

If i blip the throttle when i turn the car on this doesnt happen. Is something wrong with my TPS? is there something i have done wrong?

cheers

-mark

did you do the tps reset? do a search on here for tps reset.

also, you might need to clean your MAF sensor too. CRC makes cleaner for like 6$ a can.

That or you might have an air leak somewhere.

+1 Do a TPS reset. The idle is very sensitive to the TPS calibration.

Same thing happened to me bro. Tony at motordyne said they would ship me a new bolt. They never did.

I sent you a replacement bolt via mail a while ago. Email replied and another is being sent.

Note: These are heat treated and tempered grade 10.9 bolts. They won't break unless they are taken far past the torque spec.
