Hands Free Bluetooth... does it work for anyone?

Mine has never worked. People can't hear me on the other end, never have been able to since day one.

Finally I called Infinity today and they said this is a pretty common thing, that they can replace the parts.

Has anyone had this problem, had the parts replaced and had it fixed?

06 g35 sedan... trying to decide if I want to keep it or turn it back in- it's a lease.

the oem bluetooth does suck. the person on the other end can never hear me.

since we are on this topic. Do you guys hear the persons voice coming out through only one side. I dont hear it through both front side speakers, instead I only hear it through the front right side one. Is this normal or is my bluetooth just messed up?

Mine usually works in my 06. The sound only comes out of the right side for me also. Occasionally the phone doesnt pair when i get in the car but not often. People dont have too much trouble hearing me kind of similar to speaker phone for them. Do you keep the windows up when talking?

I use it. The people on the end complain but we manage. Unsure if it's worth going in and having stuff replaced. Is the new stuff any different? Or same crappy parts.

An yes, my voice only comes from lower right speaker

sounds like a mixed bag here.

For those of you that it doesn't work for do you have aftermarket wheels/tires?

Mine only comes out of the right side also, that is normal.

Works fine for me, might be your phone. My previous phone, a LG cu500 had issues with making calls. It would dial and switch over the oem speakers, then after 10 secs it would go silent and switch back to the radio. It worked perfectly whenever I received a call. Now I have a HTC Fuze (touch pro) and it works prefect 100% of the time with both making and receiving calls.

My Jabra SP700 works great and only cost me $30 (free shipping). I kinda wished I had waited for the 06 because of Blue Tooth, but it sounds like it isn't that great.

Sounds like this might boil down to a road noise/cabin noise issue.

I did a test today with the A/C on and driving on decent roads at no more than 40 MPH, about 8 minutes worth of talking, and it worked great.

I have a feeling, because this is when I really have the problems, that the G35 just isn't insulated enough in the cabin once you switch to aftermarket wheels/tires.

I'll keep you all posted. Most likely, if I keep this car, I am going to have the entire car sound dampened.

I will have to say that mines worked better than I thought it would. I've had no problems at all with hearing people i'm talking to and them hearing me. I even use it with the sunroof open around town and it still works. Using the voice commands with the system is useless though, i've never had any luck with it.
