If the sedan (2005) has the old skyline style lights as everyone indicates, then it will make the argument even stronger

I bought the sedan because of the looks. I really like it!

 

I just like sleepers that have beautiful lines. I've said it before, but people will rev on you at every light if you're in a coupe. If you're in a sedan, you can blow 'em away and surprise the hell out of 'em [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] I had another coupe in the stable when I bought this car, but if I had to do it again, knowing what I know now about how both handle and perform, I'd get the sedan again.

I've heard a lot of complaints about the sedan rear tail lights, but I instantly fell in love with their unique look. At night, those LEDs look especially mean. I'm also in the camp that believes the sedan looks better than the coupe.

This sedan vs. coupe thread is not turning out to be so bad!

I love the looks of both the sedan and the coupe. I chose the sedan because I wanted four doors. Also, I don't think the coupe has reclining rears seats do they??

Where I live (eastern Canada), Infiniti's are not all that common, which is good because in an area that sunfires and cavaliers are plentiful it makes my G really stick out!! I get comments on it almost everyday!!

 

I like the looks of both the sedan and the coupe as well. I chose the sedan because our other two cars are two door and we had to have one four door car. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one though.

I agree both are beautiful cars. Just wish i could afford to get both! for now the Sedan will do just fine.

 

I just had to have the coupe when I first saw the pictures in late '02, so I ordered a 6MT. When the first auto coupes showed up, I test drove it and was very underwhelmed. Compared to the sedan, it felt heavy and road noise was way to high for a car of this caliber. It also felt slow compared to the sedan, not the pep I had experienced with the sedan test drive. So I test drove a black/charcoal sedan again to be sure, and bought it on the spot. When you buy a coupe, you are buying the body and thats it. There is no other advantage, and many disadvantages to the coupe. In fact, all I see driving coupes around are 40-50 something women anyway. Thats the demographic that has adopted the coupe. No thanks.

Also I agree, the sedan should have came with the NISMO kit and at least 18's. To me the sedan looks really clean with the NISMO kit and slightly lowered with 19s.

Both are great cars....you can't go wrong either way

 

I'm glad this is a civilized thread.. I've read some of the war threads and it gets kinda hot and heavy.. I mean, its the same car! Do the bimmers have 330i vs 330ci wars? Anyways.. I love the Nismo kit, and eventually I'll get a body kit.. but I think this car is so great for the amount of money.. considering my G costs less than a maxima!

I think both the sedan and coupe are beautifully designed automobiles. Putting practicality aside, I'd rather own the coupe. But it's not offered in AWD, so I'll probably get a sedan...still a nice looking alternative.

 

The sedan just plain rocks. It's all I wanted in a sports sedan. I actually like 4 doors. I like being able to blow away a comparable BMW sports sedan. "4DSC" always was very cool to me.

The coupe looks great, but I like sports sedans so much more than coupes. Regardless, both cars look MUCH better with the spoiler.

Overall, I like the look of the Coupe better. However, I chose the Sedan for several reasons:

1. 4 doors.
2. More comfort for my 3rd and 4th passengers.
3. Equivalent performance.
4. Attracts less attention from the authorities.
5. The wheels/tires can be at least partially rotated.
6. More trunk space.
7. The rear end looks nicer than the coupe, which looks a bit fat to me. I also like the rectangular LED pattern of the brake lights better than the circular pattern on the coupe. After all, the rear view is what most folks see of the G!

I like the way the sedan looks but lets face it... The coupe is a head turner! If the coupe was offered in awd it may have swayed my decision. The other factor that made me go with the sedan was the coupes blindspots. I didn't like not being able to see everything around me. For instance, when I wanted to change lanes on the highway, I could not see if there was somebody there for sure until they were close enough that had I changed lanes, I would have hit them. I'm not short either, I'm almost 5'11" so its not a height issue. Who am I kidding though, if I had the money I would have both in my driveway!

And the sedans not a head turner?? In stock form i agree, but now with my performance upgrades and looks people dont stop looking haha...
