Little Issues

So I've had my '05 6mt for about six weeks now, but two problems have developed. I just bought an extended warranty for the car, just in case, and wanted to know how other people have dealt with these problems.

1. Compression rod- creaking sound, does it have any long-term side-effects? Dealer is willing to do the work under warranty.

2. Exhaust leak- Makes the car sound great, but I was told it wouldn't fall under the umbrella of the warranty...why wouldn't they cover it under warranty?

3. Squeaks/Rattles-- What should I ask/expect from the dealership?

Other than that, the car has been running great.

Quick question for you manual transmission guys-- Do you guys feel any strong, fast vibration through the shifter when shifting at redline? It seems normal, but I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks for the help!

They will cover the compression rod under the extended warranty. Exhaust leak you're out of luck on. Squeaks and rattles I've discovered is a hit or miss with some dealerships.

I also need a compression rod fix... and wondering about what the long-term side effects are.
