Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

LOL...after the CAI...she was all done...maybe a Grounding kit for it, but that's that. She's afraid to even drive my car at this point. ;-)

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

If you are after looks the rims I guess...but if speed is what you after looks can always be overcome by the sound of the engine or exhaust...lol

"Have MM work some magic for ya down their lonestar!!! ;-)"
Boss what did you mean by that lol ?? Also I have rims for my looks and "performance" rite now but wanted track rims, I asked what would be better. A set of track rims over stock rims or a plenum?

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

MM = Mike Murillo...a famous guy to us Mustang owners from back in the 90's. He dynoed the guy in TX's car...

If you already have your "looks" rims, but would like to know what's better for performance, IE, light weight rims and good tires vs. a Plenum...go for the light weight rims and tires right now b/c if you do the plenum you should do the Techno Square reflash too...and that's another $520.00....

Ohh I see, thats true :/ i think i'll skip the plenum since I wont have money to get the ECU. The TS ecu just pulls everything together basically rite??

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

The TS Reflash pulls stuff together, but that's imperceptable really...the coolest thing that it does is not lean you out after your mods, it increases your top speed so if you live somewhere where 160 is possible have fun, and the coolest thing I have found is it turns Manual Mode into a true standard almost with an increased rev limiter...my car pulled all of those insane 100.3 mph trap speeds in manual mode...only 97+ in 4...oh, and if you hold it you can actually cross the traps in 3 which was never possible b/f. I really need a set of drag radials now to test out all the power and traction.

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

bosssho,

I'm a bit confused, your updated times(slip provided) states 14.37 @ 100.36

In your sig you have 14.2 @ 100.36
Is that a combination of your best et and mph from separate runs or did you actually run that exact time and mph?

Thanks

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

You are correct...I actually have two time slips posted, one is the time and speed you mentioned which was my best mph and the other was the best time that day which was 14.31...14.29 is still my best ET...so I combined the two.

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

Says who? lol

That's actually the on line dyno formula to figure out HP...it's also accepted at other forums so I was running with it rather than have two different lines with my best time and best MPH.

What formula are you using to figure out hp? You took two variables from separate runs which is not accurate at all. I've heard of correcting times for sea level if your running in higher altitudes, but that's more like "could have" run in ideal conditions. The general consesus is what ever your slip says is what you achieved. Your sig is misleading because you did not run 14.2 @ 100.36 ! No offence, your car is quick but your info is fudged!

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

The corral.net asks for your best times and mph and your vehicle weight...14.31 or 14.29 at 100+ = Zero difference in power, but a hair of difference in traction off the line...the 60' times are the only reason I did not run a 13.9-14.1...and remember it was 90F when I got there and still 85F when I left...I don't feel I am fudging anything and I certainly don't take offense...you had a valid question and I totally see why you asked it...we just have a difference of opinion on it which is fine.

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

Bosssho: Is that the same logic you used for the other cars in your sig?

I kind of understand your reason. But, I think combining two different runs are misleading. I think you should footnote it. Just my$0.02 (not that you asked)

I had the same with my Typhoon back in 94. But, I picked the low ET run over the MPH run to list on the forum.Bosssho: Is that the same logic you used for the other cars in your sig?

Re: Updated Drag Strip Times

No, and I changed it back to 14.2 @ 96.4 b/c explaining this was way more effort than it should have been. The quickest time is what ultimately counts.
