So I'm going to ship my bike out here to Texas and lack any reasonable way of getting it around (i.e. no pickup or SUV).

Thus, I need to get a bike rack to throw on the car. I don't want to go the tow-hitch way, so I guess a roof rack is the best.

I see a lot of A4's with bike racks but never have seen a G with one. I'd preferably want one that would come on and off with ease, no scratch/damage the car, and not look too ugly.

I need one that'll move two bikes and ideally would be able to fit on my g/f's Camry as well.

Anyone have any input?

We have a Yakima rack with Rocky Mounts bike attachments and love it! I am sure you can put on and take off but we leave it on full time, we like to ride!

As for putting it on the Camry; it can be done but it is not really worth the effort in my mind (need to change the 'clips')... As for not scratching the roof, I put down some clear bra material first
