Side mirrors - are they supposed to be at different angles?
So, on Monday as I was driving down 101, a rogue flying traffic cone took off my driver's side mirror. (thankfully, that's all it did besides leave some rubber smudges on the body)
I got it back from getting repaired today, and as I was driving home, it felt... off. I wasn't sure if it was just because I've been in a loaner car all week, but the mirror seemed a little odd. When I got home, I looked on both sides and confirmed it - the driver's side mirror comes out of the body at a different angle than the passenger's side! The passenger's is pointed backwards like 5-10 degrees more. They're both snapped completely in place.
It's a 2003 Sedan - is it supposed to be this way and I'm just crazy, or did they screw up and use the wrong part?

Thanks for checking. It was at the dealer, so they should have used an OEM part.
This morning I noticed as well that it doesn't seem to be quite flush with the body. I'm not sure if that's what's making it look weird (though the angle would still be different) or if that's just another symptom of them using the wrong part.

Thanks to the people who looked. I just got a call back - they forgot to explain it yesterday to me, but the door is actually slightly bent which is causing the gap and the weird angle.
So false alarm, I guess. Problem solved :/

If the traffic cone damaged the door, claim it to insurance and have it fixed.
