Man, I think im just gonna call it quits with the rest of the modding. After all, it is a lease! I rather save the money for my next car like with what I should have done with all of the money I put into this already :/ But im having fun!

Do you have to return it to all OEM stock before turning in your car on the lease?

you don't have to..you can try to sell your parts before you do though. You can trade it in like any other car before the lease is up but then you just have to worry about the difference between what you get and what you owe and cover that to pay off the lease, or you can buy it at the end of the lease. Not sure of your lease details though...I tend to stay away from them.

 

Oh, a lease eh. No I would not install headers on a lease, especially since the uninstall is as difficult as the install.

Couldn't they try and pull something like, you modded this car and trading it in, who will want it? And if somethign wrong or if its modded cant they charge me or make me buy it out? Now its gonna cost so much money to uninstall most of the stuff. Sucks!

You may want to just buy it at the end of the lease or sell it if you can get enough $$ to pay off the residual value; with your mods, it should be worth more than stock and some kid may really want it when you're done with it (and you're looking at a new M45 to mod!!!! ;-).

I would think that you shouldn't worry about some mods, like your wheels and aero package, but the leasing co. will want you return many things to stock like your new exhaust system, the CAI and maybe the springs. You're in a tough spot, but I guess you have 2-3 years to think about it.

Thanks guys, yea i dont know what i'll do. People keep saying they would like to buy my car out at the end of the lease because of how well i take care of it (Friends and construction workers at my house?!?) lol, i never eeally even thought about how much i put inot this car and i only have 2 years left or less because the guy said they try and get you outta the lease early to get a brand new car!! If im staying with a g35 im getting a coupe next, i love the sedan but dont want it as a "show" car or my project car and want a manual! I plan on going all out, turbo, every mod, wheels body kit, etc you get the idea. But now im just thinking, how much its gonna cost to take everything off and back on. Sucks Anyway im having fun for now, cant complain I guess!

I feel your the struggle with the mods. I also lease & don't want to go too extreem.
I've just gotten my Borla nicely broken in, love the tunes more the longer I have it, but.....
Right now I can't hear it too well; my co-pilot is making more noise than the exhaust. "Is it always that loud?;it's too sporty sounding!......yada, yada, yada."
LOL, looks like I'll have to try something else, like the HKS

HAHA Integr8, i feel ya man lol... Im glad i dont have one of those co-pilots yet =) Moto your first on my selling list for it man!! I was out last night and raced a honda S2k, the guy said wowo it sounds sick as hell, not like any coupe or sedan he heard did i have a supercharger also? because that thing really moved LOL!!! I said nah, i wish though. Fun times..
