Everybody wants a slice of the pie
Seeing how a bunch of people jumped all over a few people who liked the new Subaru Legacy GT this article in Autoweek made me laugh!
Hyundai wants a luxury brand; automaker seeks U.S. debut by 2007
Autoweek story
I especially got a laugh out of the GOLD car in the photo!
But I guess anything is possible in time.

Re: Everybody wants a slice of the pie
can u imagine a luxury hundai? that's pretty funny. they havent succeded with their sports cars, but their "regular cars" i guess they're doing ok with. They need to stick to their regular line. That gold car kinda reminds me of the older Q45 but a very ugly version of it. That color is GROSS too. LOL!

My brother is a regional manager with Hertz. He says that the hyubdai sonata is one of the better cars in terms of reliablity that they rent.
Think back to the late 70s to what Datsun, Toyota and Honda were selling. Who would have thought they would be producing the great cars they are now. I am sure that European and Domestic automakers didn't, thats why they have been playing catch up for 20 years.
It's not too far out of the realm to think that Hyundai couldn't turn around their image and make a luxury car. Of course they will need to launch the car with some different name as people can't shake the Hyundai name
