reflash only??

I have searched and only found one thread on here bout swapping a 350z or another g35 ecu. The thread said it can't be done!!?? Does anyone know exactly why?

I'm a little on the fence bout getting a reflash cause my experience with Hondas was not very good! basically higher rev limiter and s**t ton of gas throwin in the mix and presto you have a smokey gas guzzlin machine from running way to rich!

What are you asking? Reflashing is not the same as swapping ECUs. If you're thinking swapping a Z ecu into a G is going to net you something (if it even where possible), it won't.

UpRev Osiris is where the best reflashes are coming from. But if you have a doggy door G35, you are probably screwed.

If yes, then the reflash you want is the TechnoSquare mail in ECU option.

04 should be good to go. Even later build dated 03s are okay.

They all can one way or another. But not all can via UpRev

I have a 2003 "doggy door"

I'm in the process of wiring up a Greddy Emanage piggy-back to control A/F and ignition timing and what not.

That's definately cool on a diy and grassroots level of modification I like to see. I hope it works out. The thing is you still have to get to a dyno to tune or hook up a wideband if you want to datalog via another obdII scanner type thing and tune yourself. I briefly looked into trying to patch something in also. Either by hardwiring like you're doing or using a maxima patch harness for an Utec. But from what I read, piggy backs always fight the oem a/f and ignition timing tables and only affect open looped settings. Also with these things, you can't resolve the TB opening, e-wire map (sprintboost effect), rev limiter and more importantly ign and a/f targets.

As much as a pain it is, I'm going to send my ecu in to TS. Only question is should I get a set of high flow cats or not. Because if I do, I'd get them installed before having the ecu modded. And probably get to a dyno for an ign/air fuel datalog so TS could flash based on that.
