HID/Xenon Kit question...
For the few of the early 2003 that doesn't have Xenon lights as standards, would any of the cheaper aftermarket HID/Xenon Kit do, (~$75). I looked at it briefly and since the car battery is located on the rear left of the engine bay does those kit require wiring to the battery?
Do these cheap aftermarket burnt out fast?
please advise.
thanks,

Did you use 35w or 55w kits? I was going to go 8000k but i dont want to lose that much light output, so 6000k would probably be better, but i also want the color. A 55w 8000k will have similar color to a 35w 6000k.

Says that
( for example, a 55w 8000k will look similar in color to a 35w 6000k kit).

I dunno why they say that. That's like saying blue halogen bulbs are the same as HID light.
Stock OEM HID systems are 35W.
You could use 55W, but the main concern would be heat and current and may be a fire risk in some install situations. If you run a 55w kit, you should set it up to use relays and run direct off the battery and make sure you mount the ballasts in a nice open area.
I'd stick with 35w systems

fellas, stick to 35w ballasts. 55w is asking for trouble. Sure, looks brighter, but risk of fire and anything of that nature, no thanks. Seen a couple horror stories where my buddies used some 55w ballasts.
Don't go higher than 6k. Trust me. Been through so many setups of lights. 6k is the best if you want any color at all. If not, stick to OEM, 4300k.
