Are the 03-04 and 05-06 rear bumpers interchangeable?

You can definitely test fit it, it's not hard at all if you are mechanically inclined. There should be a DIY for rear bumper here somewhere. Just tape up the edge to protect the paint on the car. Removing / installing would be easier with some help, but it could be done with only one person. I re-fitted my rear bumper with nismo kit after I got my car back from the body shop, all by myself.

I could use some help from anyone with an 05 or 06. I need fairly close-up pics of the rocker panel that attaches below the rear qtr-panel with and without the splash guards. I'm not sure how they fit and if they'll solve the problem I'm having or if I have to order the rockerpanels, etc...

Thanks, but that's really not what I need at all. I need a picture of an 05-06 like this:
Or I need to know if the splash guards completely replace that short gray piece or go on top of it (and yes, I know it's not gray on an 05-06)
The reason for this is detailed in the link to the thread I posted earlier, but for anyone that is allergic to reading anything but the very last post in a thread, here:

Rear Mudguard
I read your test fit thread, good work. The short gray piece at the bottom of the quarter panel is called the Rear Mudguard in the service manual, which I brought up in my earlier reply. This piece is not the splash guard, so the answer is no, the splash guard doesn't replace the mudguard, they are separate pieces. You will need the 05-06 rear mudguard to get the swap done right.
Someone here might be on an 05-06 to 03-04 rear bumper swap, so you might be able to do an exchange , just post some WTT I'm sure you'll get some reply.

Heh, you sure did! I'm guilty of not reading my own thread now. Though I was confused about the mud guard/splash guard thing. Thanks for explaining that.
I'll post a wtt but I also want this done before Sep 16 so if there is anyone they're going to have to be quick!
As for the service manual, idk why I didn't think about looking there, I downloaded it for the 03 and I could get the one for an 05 as well, just a brain fart I guess!
Right now I'm just trying to get this project done so I'll get the mudguards but I am def. going to get the splash guards later, they look really nice.
