I had the overlays on the headlights before I painted them, it looked like crap cuz the background is chrome and you can still see it and it makes em look dirty, iwould only do the overlays after you painted the inside black so you don't see that chrome in the background behind the tint

Ahh I see what you mean. Maybe i'll leave them chrome. I like them so far.

Or your best bet is the GTR style headlight overlays, they black out everything but the headlight and foglight reflectors I think they look better than tint. Go to www.bluebatmobile.net but you can't order thru the site you gotta send him an email and he takes a while to answer cuz he's a busy guy, you can ask him his mailing address and send him a check with your car make and model and year and what overlays you want etc

I would go with niteshades, just make sure you do it right and it will make for a much more subtle look. More like this:

Oh stop nit-picking!I worked on that for countless seconds!!!

Ok, J/K

on that note though, that is a really nice thing about niteshades, you can decide just how dark you want to go by adding another coat. Just be careful, it is all to easy to keep going 'one more coat...' and the next thing you know you've painted your taillights black... DOH!!

yea ive got a lakeshore slate sedan also and im tryin to decide if i should tint or paint the tails...

i think i wanna get them painted like the gtr style overlays

im goin for a black theme.. did the tints.. sidemarkers and emblemless grill (finished today) all black and debadged the back leaving the fuji emblem black

im gonna post up some pics after the clearcoat on my grill dries
