Gear Lag (automatic)
when i accelerate the gear shift keeps lagging which really ****'s me off...i jus got the car and i got it like this...is this normal and if nto is there anything i can do about it?
last time frequented this forum, gordgee grounding gear was the hotness and everyone said it helped the automatic shifting a whole lot. i havent been around for a while so i dont know if things have changed.
lol isnt VDC .. vehicle dynamic control, otherwise known as traction control ? the first gen VQ's have about a 1000 rpm (5 ticks on meter) shift lag when going at WOT. but with the right grounding kits my friends got shortened to 200 rpm shift lag at WOT which is only 1 of the little tick marks. i was suprised that grounding kit works so well.
it happens in auto mode

Doing the gas pedal reset procedure really helped my shift points - I drive a very short distance to work and I think it learned to drive in a granny type mode. When I did the reset the shift points were higher and crisper. Search on this site for the procedure.
