At least specify the forum (track, street, freeway, mountain road, etc).

Many of those races will depend more on the skill of the driver and if the car is manual or auto.

I give u a chance of beating a first gen coupe, GS300, and altima 3.5 in pretty much all circumstances but it does rely a lot on the driver. Please don't wrap ur G around a pole...

 

oh, and the charger if it's a 2.7

but kinda surprised i cant take on the IS

 

why would you any simple mind person can just look at HP and TQ number and tell you, that the 30x hp IS can stomp on your 260/280 hp sedan.

plus mags puts the IS at 13.7-14.2 and the G35 at best i think was 14.5-14.7 which is also real life numbers on this board for a bone stone RWD.

 

Ah to be young again when the most important thing in a guys life was how fast his car is and who he can beat.

My last car was a low 13 second Mustang and it was still considered slow in the racing world (but at least worthy of running with stock GTO/M3/similar vehicles). Don't really see the point of seeing who has the better mid 14 second car, as I agree with Leon NYC. Many cars made today have enough power to run a mid 14 stock, it's not uncommon at all. Just don't see a point to race when everyone else can keep up.

The eclipse would suffer from crank-walk halfway down the strip...so that's a win right there.


Yup, technology has come a long way when you can buy a new Altima and keep up with a 10-year old V8 Mustang. Minivans come with 300HP. Hell, there is a 365HP Ford Taurus on the road now. Everyone's got a fast car these days. I stopped racing people a long time ago.
