So if you get the STI (not the model we are debating with the invaders) it's almost like the ATEESA except that dam longitudal thing still makes it a Front driver with all the CV boots and smaller drivetrain components and a rear transaxle as an afterthought. Hey the wrx sti is great car except at that price point a used boxer makes some sense - to look at anyway.
When honda and subbie make AWD biased to rear and BASED on rear drive platform I will be interested - oh and the GT needs to about 5 series size too...
to some it's spewing but rear drive and front drive are world apart - PLATFORM WISE the subbie is a FWD converted to AWD and the G is a RWD converted to AWD. Many makers add power - change the sheetmetal - call it a redesign and viloa the price goes up the fans get giddy and then *** poof *** everyone wakes up and realizes nothing has changed.
I guess thats why the lurking here - time for a real RWD platform eh guys!
